Compost Giveaway PDF Print E-mail

compost

Residents are offered compost from the Lawrence County Solid Waste District’s Compost Facility through the Compost Giveaway program. This program is for residents only. At the Compost Facility residents may receive up to one cubic yard of compost. That equals about six full trash cans. Residents should bring shovels and containers to carry the compost in. We would be happy to load compost into open top trucks and trailers with our loader. In addition, wood mulch (not compost) is also given away to Lawrence County residents.

Compost and wood mulch may not be on hand at all times due to seasonal availability and demand. Call ahead for product availability.
